Julius Berith is the chairman, founder and shareholder of Virtual Reality Media (VRM), a Slovak private company engaged in the design, development and production of simulators and training systems. He is also the President of Synerco, a Swiss Joint Venture company of VRM and Aeronautical Systems Engineering Inc. (ASE), a US company from Odessa, Florida. He holds a Master’s degree in management from the University of Presov, Slovakia. Julius was named Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 in Innovation by EY. Julius was born in Trencin, a city located in the heart of the Vah valley, the former “Silicon Valley” of military industry and military research of the former Czechoslovakia. Before founding VRM, Julius worked at the Technical and Economic Institue of Textile Industry as a programmer. In January 1990 he started his own business as a self-employed programmer dealing primarily with SW development. Shortly thereafter, in 1992, Julius founded VRM as a company selling computer and office technology and software. To distinguish himself from the competition, Julius started an innovative business plan in virtual reality and simulation. VRM was awarded its first big contract by the Slovak Air Force for a MiG-29 flight simulator. Based on this remarkable success, Julius started a development programme that over after more than 20 years brought the company a solid reputation across the world with satisfied customers from countries that include non-traditional places such as Yemen, Angola, Algeria or Kazakhstan. Additionally, Julius led VRM to provide its outstanding quality of service to the U.S. Army, completing successfully several contracts for this large overseas customer. Julius is a forward-thinking visionary striving for excellence in each area of his business. His company achieved many awards like Exporter of the Year 2004, Diamonds of the Slovak Business in 2013 and Superbrands Award 2015. This year VRM becomes a National Champion representing Slovakia in the European Business Award.
